Yoga emphasises the connection between the mind and body. Through conscious movement, breath control, and meditation, yoga helps cultivate a greater awareness of the body, allowing you to develop a deeper understanding of your physical and mental states. Postures (asanas) which increase strength, balance and flexibility and which promote self-awareness (proprioception) and improved over-all posture.

Pranayama or breath control is used to focus and unite the mind and body. Breath awareness increases the feeling of relaxation or builds energy. Breath awareness also aids sleep.

Yoga practices carefully designed to focus the mind and connect the mind and body leading to greater self-awareness and inner peace. within an accepting, supportive group of like-minded people.

About me

Qualifications:

My name is Jacqui Gander and yoga has changed my life. After injury and a stressful job I felt like I needed an exercise routine that worked for my mind, body and energy, Yoga was my solution, after 25 years I decided to combine my love of teaching and my love of yoga, I studied yoga teaching to Diploma level through the British Wheel of Yoga (currently the highest level of yoga teaching in the UK). My classes reflect  three aims: movement, breath and relaxtion. Carefully considering needs and aims of all I plan and teach Hatha yoga, focusing on the physical postures, breath control and self-awareness. I am fully ensured through the British wheel of yoga and also a member of the EDM (national governing body for group exercise).

One to one, in a group or online

There is a yoga for everyone. My aim is to ensure that each individual is able to find their version. I offer a yoga class at a local venue (free parking and changing facilities). The groups are up to 10 people to ensure everyone has room to move. Please use the link below to contact me.

One to one

Teaching one to one allows me to really focus in on your needs. I offer sessions at an hourly rate within a 5 mile radius of Woking. Please contact me for availability and pricing.

Online

Using zoom you can join my classes from where-ever you are in the world. The classes follow a theme (such as yoga for back maintenance) and I offer feedback after the session where required. Simply pay a monthly fee to access live yoga sessions and weekly recordings.
